58,196-Mile E7 Global Adventure Concludes in Tooele, Utah
Four Land Cruiser 70 Series vehicles arrive at the Land Cruiser Heritage Museum in time for CruiserFest Friday, Sept. 5 at 2 p.m.
TOOELE, Utah (September 4, 2014) – A breakfast meeting in 2011 would lay the groundwork for an ambitious expedition, to drive the same Toyota Land Cruiser across all seven continents. Salt Lake resident and explorer Greg Miller and Scott Brady, chairman of Overland Journal and ExpeditionPortal.com, agreed the timing was perfect to set their shared dream into motion. Titled Expeditions 7, this 218-day (over three years), 58,196-mile journey covering the world’s most fascinating cultures and beautiful and challenging landscapes has officially concluded. Four of the five vehicles used throughout Expeditions 7 will arrive on Friday, September 5 at 2 p.m. and will be on permanent display at the Land Cruiser Heritage Museum at Miller Motorsports Park, where one of the most complete and rare collections of Land Cruisers exists.
“I embarked on Expeditions 7 with the goal of driving the same Land Cruiser on every continent and a mission to inspire others to travel and open their eyes to the world, even if it’s in their own backyard,” said Greg Miller. “Three years later, I’ve gained a wealth of knowledge, life lessons and learned that the journey is more fun when you are able to share it with others.”
A total of 47 people joined Miller on various segments of the expedition, including family and friends, as well as some locals he met during his travels.
